The Mom
Behind the Mission
Hi! I’m Andrea, founder of
Cordelia’s Courage Collective. I’m the proud mom of two precious kids: a son by my side, and a daughter whose love reaches me from above.
In September 2024, I held my daughter, Cordelia, for the last time. Just three months later, I held her little brother for the first time. Living through loss and new life in the same breath reshaped me completely. It taught me that hope and grief can coexist, and the ability to carry both simultaneously is what gives me the strength to keep going.
Becoming a mom has been the most beautiful and the most heartbreaking part of my life. Losing Cordelia changed me forever. Nothing I can do can change what happened to our girl, but I can try to fight so other families don’t lose what we lost. That fight is why I created Cordelia’s Courage Collective.
I don’t have years of experience in this space or a long list of nonprofit accolades to wow you with. But what I do have is a daughter I love fiercely, a story that deserves to be told, and a fire to advocate for kids like her. Kids who deserve infinitely better.
Her little brother will grow up knowing his sister through the cherished legacy she left and through this community built in her name. He reminds me every day that the fight for better futures simply cannot wait.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for seeing our story, and for helping us fight for every child, every family, and every tomorrow. This work is not ours alone: it belongs to every parent who has loved and lost, every child still fighting, the courageous survivors, and every person willing to stand beside us. Together we make a difference.
